Reading Festival 2016: Joseph Perry's Reading Round-Up

90,000 people spent their bank-holiday weekend in an unusually sun-drenched Reading, with thousands more taking the trip to its sister festival, Leeds.

With almost 10 major stages to visit, and dozens of headliners across the 3 days, it's easy to see why the festival sells out every year.

For 2016, Reading ventured into new territory by having not three, not four, but five headliners on its main stage. Friday saw Disclosure and Foals play to a packed out arena, on Sunday Fall Out Boy and Biffy Clyro took to the stage, while Saturday saw the festival's biggest draw, legendary rockers Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Now is probably a good time to confess that I didn't actually see any of Reading's five headliners.

Playing on the Lock Up Stage, you'd be forgiven for not recognising the band, with front-man 'Itch' the only survivor from The King Blues' previous incarnation.

Their 45 minute set was a perfect way to bow out on the Sunday night, with classic songs like 'Save The World Get the Girl', 'Set the World On Fire' and 'My Boulder' - as well as a special display of unity between fans, security and the band during 'I Got Love'.

Just next to the Lock Up Stage is the Alternative stage, which hosted variety and comedy throughout the weekend. Marcus Brigstoke was particularly well…
