Alec Feldman’s Yodelling Challenge: Training

Alec Feldman’s Yodelling Challenge: Training

A few weeks ago, Alec Feldman promised on air that he would get on a bus in London, in a Craig David mask, to sing one of his songs – and PROVE once and for all that Craig’s little stunt where he did the same was nothing but a fake.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of his control, this never happened, despite his promises – so he asked his listeners for ways he could make it to up to them. Their answer?

He had to yodel, like the Walmart kid, live on air.

But he couldn’t just go straight into it cold, oh no – it required hours of practice, in order to truly master the art of yodelling. So here is his week of practicing, for you to enjoy. At times, it got tough – but he persevered and made it through to the end.

10 Minutes More (with Kup & Gurr) | Privatise the NHS

10 Minutes More (with Kup & Gurr) | Privatise the NHS

It's one of the most divisive topics in the UK: the privatisation of the NHS.

The National Health Service has been free at the point of access since it was founded in 1948, however recently this has been put into doubt as the NHS faces a "Winter crisis" every year, as demand overtakes it's capacity, and elements of the NHS struggle to keep up with increasing patient numbers as the population gets older and more complicated illnesses to treat.

The majority of people in the UK are against the privatisation of the NHS, however some people are increasingly in support of making some elements of the health service privately-operated to help the service cope with the pressure.

In the latest episode of 10 Minutes More (with Kup & Gurr), George Kup and Callum Gurr invite you to share your opinion on whether you think the NHS should be privatised, following the live vote on TeenScope.

Interview with Ben | Teenage Cancer Trust

The Virgin Money London Marathon has been held for 37 years and sees participates run over 42km around the River Thames.

Some people run the London Marathon for fun, others run it competitively, and many run it for charity.

This year’s Virgin Money London Marathon ‘Charity of the Year’ is the Teenage Cancer Trust – an extremely important charity which ensures that young people have the expert treatment and support that they need, from the moment they hear the word “cancer”.

For more information about Teenage Cancer Trust, click here.

Ben was 17 when he got diagnosed with a synovial sarcoma in his leg; now he’s taking on the challenge of running 26.2 miles to raise awareness for the charity which supported him, the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The marathon falls pretty much a year to the day to when he was diagnosed, and now that he’s finished treatment he’s looking to study medicine (after his A Levels) and become a doctor because of his cancer experience.

James Gilmore interviewed Ben about his experience with the Teenage Cancer Trust, preparing for the marathon and more.
