Brighton-based indie-pop band The Island Club are getting plenty of attention at the moment from all the right places, and that's not without reason.

The five-piece, who describe their music as 'pleasure pop', have recently released debut singles 'Paper Kiss' and 'Sober' (B-side), and they seem to have done the job. Industry experts are turning their heads to Brighton for the next big band, and Michael (vocals, rhythm guitar), Julien (lead guitar), Sam (drums), David (bass) and Barney (synthesiser) seem to be the answer.

Comparable to the likes of Peace, Tame Impala and the grooves of Nile Rogers, they have been introducing themselves to the world with their fresh take on the modern, upbeat pop song. Listen below.

To find out more, James Gilmore caught up with them over the phone to discuss their music process, what the future holds for the band and more.

Broadcasted worldwide, only on W!ZARD Radio Station.
