Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift is the latest single from the smash-hit album 1989.
In classic Swift style, the music video for Out of the Woods was revealed to the world on New Years Eve and it quickly became the fastest trending issue of the year. Since then, the single has charged Gold in both Australia and the US, making the Top 40 in the US, Hungary, New Zealand, Israel and Canada amongst others.
We're listing our Top 4 covers of this incredible track.
Tyler Ward is our favourite YouTube musician by a long shot - and one of his best talents is turning upbeat pop songs into calm, romantic acoustic performances. This skill is perfectly displayed in his performance of Out of the Woods. And when it hits the chorus! And the harmonies too... we just can't get enough!
The fingering on this cover of Out of the Woods is what initially attracted us to the cover. The way Haley plays a recognisable, but slightly different, version of the track excites us, there's nothing we love more than hearing an artist make a cover their own. Also, her clear voice is beyond amazing.
The first few seconds of this cover are almost unrecognisable, but a hot Brit is a requirement for any Taylor cover playlist surely? Perhaps what we love best about this cover is how Finn has managed to bring a MASSIVE sound to this otherwise simple track. The drums, the violin and multi-layered vocals. Also, there are some intense close-ups...
As if nobody could out-pop Swift, it would seem that we have found the one! Rachel brings a new arrangement to Out of the Woods, and one that we love a LOT. It's intimate and romantic, but also really big - it's strange, but great all at the same time. There's also a country vibe about the chorus which is always good. Howdy!
