Behind the multi-award winning films Moon and Source Code, Duncan Jones is a proven name in the world of film.
Following a difficult year which saw his father (singer-songwriter David Bowie) pass away, Duncan is back with an adaptation of the popular video game, World of Warcraft.
Warcraft: The Beginning is an epic fantasy film starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper and Toby Kebbell (to name a few from the large cast).
Azeroth is an extraordinary world where light and dark marget are the life force. Ruling over the human realm is King Llane (Dominic Cooper) and Lady Taria, both of whom reside in the peaceful city of Stormwind. The peaceful kingdom of Azeroth is looked after by a council of mages known as the Kirin Tor - elite spell-casters who maintain the balance of power from the clouds in faraway Dalaran.
All is peaceful and pleasant, until young mage Khadgar decides to rebel against the Kirin Tor in the search of a higher truth. Now, Azeroth is on the brink of war and their destiny could change forever.
On the other side of the planet, Draenor serves as the home to tusked warriors known as the orcs. They are monoliths of combat, born to fight and bred to survive. But the orc planet is dying and, if their kind is to survive, they must abandon their homes and travel to another world. If it must be conquered in order for them to survive, so be it...
