19 year-old Connar Ridd is living a life different from many other 19 year-old’s.

The indie-rocker, who prefers the name FREAK, has been called a “One man Nirvana” by The Guardian and has been on tour with bands at the top of the latest indie-rock wave – such as Sundara Karma, Bad Sounds and, most recently, INHEAVEN.

Inspired by small town isolation (having grown-up on the outskirts of Essex) and having dropped out of Uni to stack shelves at his local Co-Op, FREAK’s future looks very different to his past.

His latest single Cake has been given widespread support from everyone who matters, and after shooting a music video where he is pelted with cake from all directions… it looks like Connar can have his cake and eat it!

James Gilmore interviewed FREAK about new music, his live shows and, of course, his favourite type of cake!

Broadcasted exclusively worldwide on W!ZARD Radio Station.
