As grime gets increasingly popular in the UK, there is one artist who can safely say he’s been representing the genre for well over a decade.
This goes without saying: Lethal Bizzle is one of the most legendary grime artists in the UK.
Hailing from London, the power of the Bizzle is undeniable – with his debut solo single ‘Pow (Forward)’ (2004) charting at #11 on the UK charts despite being banned on the radio and from clubs.
With 19 tracks in the UK charts, Lethal Bizzle’s catalogue includes the likes of ‘Go Hard (feat. Donae’o)’ and 2011’s ‘Pow 2011’ which featured a roster of grime legends including JME, Wiley, Chipmunk, 2Face, P Money, Ghetts and Kano.
His highest charting tracks, ‘Rari WorkOut (feat. JME & Tinie Tempah)’ and ‘Fester Skank (feat. Diztortion)’ both went to #11 on the UK Charts, and #2 on the UK R&B charts and have embedded themselves as an essential part of British culture.
Having collaborated with grime legend Giggs earlier this year, Lethal Bizzle is back again with a definitive new EP, ‘You’ll Never Make A Million from Grime’ which includes collaborations with Skepta, MoStack, Donae’o and more.
Myles McCaulskey sat down with Lethal Bizzle to discuss his legendary grime music career and what his new EP means for grime music.
