As we were all growing up, Drake Bell was the person that everyone wanted to be.

Infamous for the character of ‘Drake’ in the Nickelodeon sitcom ‘Drake & Josh’ alongside Josh Peck, he played a version of himself battling the realities of a new step-brother, and finding a way to live together.

Before then, he also starred in ‘The Amanda Show’ (launching Amanda Bynes’ career) and also ‘All That’. But, for Drake Bell it all started with music.

Influenced and obsessed with classic artists such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Brian Setzer (the latter he collaborated with in the 2014 cover album ‘Ready Steady Go!’) – he has turned over a new leaf and is creating music which feels “now”.

The new EP, titled ‘Honest’ is turning the world on fire as Drake Bell re-introduces himself to a world as the thing he has always been at heart: a musician. The new, modern sound is introduced with the stellar single 'Leaves'.

Now, the artist who launched Miranda Cosgrove’s career and wrote the theme tune for shows such as Sam & Cat (launching Ariana Grande’s career), Victorious and iCarly is ready for the next wave of fandom and stardom.

James Gilmore interviewed Drake Bell about his career, the shows which we all grew up with and new music (and they bond over discussing their favourite Drake & Josh episodes).

Broadcasted exclusively worldwide on W!ZARD Radio Station.
