Being one of the most highly anticipated upcoming British artists can be a very stressful time for the few artists who reach that position in their career.
Zak Abel seems to be playing to cool.
The singer-songwriter first hit the charts in 2014 featuring on the Gorgon City track, ‘Unmissable’ – a collaboration which took him worldwide and peaked at #19 on the UK Charts and #5 on the UK Dance Charts.
Since then, as he’s bounced from stage to stage and collaborated with the likes of Avicii and Wretch 32, acclaim has followed him. Single ‘ Unstable’ in 2017 showed that Zak Abel has the potential to be a global name – currently boasting over 26M streams.
With his debut album (‘Only When We’re Naked’) on the way – an album which is predicted to propel him into heights currently only imaginable – we sat down with him at the Abbey Road SongShack at Sundown Festival to discuss new music and more.
