On March 25th, 2013, a young artist stepped onto the stage of The Voice and performed a song by one of her musical heroes, a soon-to-be label mate, Taylor Swift.
At that time, neither the artist or the United States of America knew what was happening – but, in retrospect, it was the start of a journey for Danielle Bradbery as she went on to win that series of The Voice, sign a deal with Big Machine (home to the likes of Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, Midland and others) and release a debut album which charted at #5 on the US Country Charts.
After that, things went a bit quiet.
Now, aged 21, Danielle Bradbery is more sure about who she is than ever before. She now a song-writer, her “big brother” figure is award winning country artist Thomas Rhett (with whom she shares a manger) and her music is damn good.
Whilst still developing as an artist, her album ‘I Don’t Believe We’ve Met’ is a culmination of the journey of growth and discovery that Danielle Bradbery has gone through over the past few years.
The album is released on December 1st and features the amazing tracks ‘Sway’, the Thomas Rhett-penned ‘Hello Summer’, ‘Potential’ and more.
James Gilmore interviewed Danielle Bradbery about the past few years of discovery, the new album and her growing reputation as one of the most promising new pop artists in the game.
