This year on W!ZARD Radio Station we have been fortunate enough to have been joined by two inspirational astronauts: Britain’s Tim Peake and NASA’s Scott Kelly.

To end off the year, we’re joined by one of the most important women working behind-the-scene’s for the UK Space Agency.

As the Head of Human Spaceflight for the UK Space Agency, Libby Jackson is one of Britain’s foremost space experts, also working on all of the Britain’s scientific experiments on the International Space Station.

Her journey started at 17 years old when, on a whim, she emailed NASA asking for Work Experience. A few months later she was at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston doing experience in Mission Control. Most notably, from 2014 - 2016 she acted as spokesperson for Tim Peake’s mission to the ISS.

In her new book, ‘A Galaxy of Her Own’, Libby Jackson tells the stories of 50 inspirational women who have been fundamental to human space exploration - from scientists to astronauts, and more!
