New Music We Love: Zedd steals the week, Craig David's gold and we snub Timberlake (for a third time)
We take you on a guided tour of the best, the good, and the quite good's of the week

It’s been quite an iffy week for new music, but it’s good to know that in the world we live in, where up is down and the price of avocados is skyrocketing, at least Zedd can make a hit (even if it does sound a lot like his previous hit).
Featured Track: Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey – The Middle
Zedd has been one of the top DJs for a while, and he dominated 2017 with Alessia Cara-collaboration ‘Stay’, and it looks like 2018 will be his year again with ‘The Middle’. The song sounds a lot like ‘Stay’ but, to be fair, if it’s not broken why fix it?
Maren Morris is a star-to-be and has already been nominated for two Grammy’s in 2017 including Best New Artist. We’re still not quite sure what Grey is but, judging by the press image, it’s the two guys with grey hair. Overall, 10/10 would listen again.
Other Good Ones
Craig David – Focus: Craig David ruled much of 2016 and 2017 with one of the best comebacks in recent pop memory (although, in fairness, ‘pop memory’ isn’t too far from the memory of a goldfish). His new album ‘The Time Is Now’ has banger-after-banger, and, if we went to clubs, we imagine that ‘Focus’ would be playing.
Julia Michaels – Heaven: Another one from the Fifty Shades Free soundtrack. Judging by the music released so far, the soundtrack should sell more than the film! This catchy bop is yet another piece of evidence for our ‘Why Julia Michaels is the best thing to happen to pop since sliced bread’ folder.
Julie Bergan – Guilt Trip: We hadn’t heard for Julie Bergen before right now, but life is better now that we have this song. Hailing from Norway, Miss Bergan has a new album (‘Turn On The Lights’) coming out on February 2nd which, based on this song alone, we think we’re going to like.
M.O x Lotto Boyzz x Mr Eazi – Bad Vibe: We haven’t heard from M.O since 2016’s smash ‘Who Do You Think Of?’ and lesser-smash ‘Not In Love’ but now they’re back with a new member (and not an old member) and they’ve decided to bring Lotto Boyzz and must-have feature Mr Eazi along for the ride. Good vibe, good vibe.
Also Good, But Maybe Not Quite Good Enough For So Many Words
Thirty Seconds To Mars – Dangerous Night: What is going on Jared? WHERE ARE THE SMASHERS? We’re waiting…
Sia vs David Guetta & Afrojack – Helium: We’re not quite sure what the whole ‘vs’ thing is about, but it’s Sia so it’s not a bad track is it.
The Aces – Fake Nice: We really liked their single ‘Baby Who’ from last year. ‘Fake Nice’ isn’t as good as that one, but it’s still a worthwhile banger.
The Vaccines – Nightclub: For when you think you’re more badass than you are.
