Nobody Real by Steven Camden follows Marcie.
For years she’s been hitching a ride on the train of her best friend Cara’s life. Now there’s only one more summer until they’re off to Uni together, just like they planned. But, Marcie has a secret, and time is running out for her to decide what she really wants.
Now, Marcie has another friend as well – Thor. Thor was Marcie’s friend, until she cast him out, back to his own world. Time is running out for him too.
Nobody Real really explores the tests that are put on friendship as we grow up – both our real life friends, and the friends that exist in other parts of our mind as youngsters. It looks at how we process major events in our lives as we enter the unknown.
On his radio show, James Gilmore wanted to know if you have any regrets about how you have deal with a friendship when you were younger? Maybe you were holding back a secret not knowing how, when or if to spill the beans… or perhaps there was just an incident in the playground.
James Gilmore on Friendships
