Over the past few years, students in the UK and around the world have been complaining that their school system is not properly preparing them for the "real world". After all, how can you know algebra but not know how to do your taxes?
One specific example of this money, and more specifically, would you know what to do if you got yourself in severe debt? After all, making sure you have enough money to live is an important part of... living! Furthermore, advertisements for "payday loans" (companies which loan smaller amount of money but with large interest rates, meaning that the recipient of the loan needs to pay back significantly more money than they first received) are more popular than ever before, however many young people do not know the potential dangers of them.
Not knowing what to do to prevent debt - or what to do if you find yourself "in the red" - can cause much bigger issues if it isn't handled properly.
