DC Comics was founded in 1934 and has been around for over 80 years. The initials 'DC' actually comes from the series Detective Comics, where Batman's debit occurred. The DC Exhibition: Dawn of Super Heroes is at The O2, London until September 9th 2018, and it brings us closer to the characters we see on the big screen.

We are set to have more DC movies soon, with 'Aquaman's anticipated release date set at December 14 and 'Shazam' set at April 5, next year. This exhibition gives you the background and detailed knowledge to equip yourself for the next set of DC movies.

Walk through walls of original art, props, models and costumes and learn about the background of the DC characters. Additionally, you get the chance to listen to audio clips linked to different parts of the DC Universe, as you explore a vast number of characters.

We all know Superman and Batman's origin stories but do we know where the ideas to create these characters came from? With a timeline to show you the creation and the growth of these characters, the exhibition gives you a closer insight into the journey and evolution of our favourite super heroes and villains.

Gaze upon the costumes for Batman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn - to name a few. See the Riddler, the Penguin and the Joker. Be awed by the Batmobile and Catwoman's costume. See original concept art from the Justice League, Wonder Woman and Superman films.

Witness the changes made to characters as different artists and writers work on newer concepts. See how the culture and how the current events at that time impacted the stories told.

An amazing aspect of the exhibition is the chance to see interviews with the directors of the movies and other key people such as the costume directors and artists. Learn about the iconic movies that have come and the movies that will come in the future.

For anyone with the slightest interested in learning more about the DC universe to those who absolutely love these characters - this exhibition is an experience that will be completely worth your time.
