As a student, sometimes energy drinks can be the thing that gets you through the day. Had a late night revising? Just need that extra energy boost... pay £1, grab a can and get that necessary short term energy boost.
However, in reality, energy drinks aren't so beneficial. They are extremely sugary, full of chemicals and only provide a short-term energy boost, meaning that a couple of hours later... you need yet more sugar to keep your energy levels so high. With so many young people resorting to drinking these types of drinks, many people feel that they should be banned to Under-18's, citing that they are especially dangerous if you are going through adolescence.
In the latest episode of 10 Minutes More (with Kup & Gurr), George Kup and Callum Gurr invite you to share your opinion on where Under-18's should be allowed to drink energy drinks, following the live vote on TeenScope.
