5 MAR – Today, W!ZARD Station has officially announced a series of schedule changes taking place in the lead up to it’s Fifth Anniversary on the 9th of April 2015.

The changes started last week, when Dara Sisterhen presented her debut show as part of Show:Me More. The new radio show premiere’s look as follow:

Saturday 28th – Dara Sisterhen joins Show:Me More
Saturday 7th – JAXXMiKE (Saturdays, 1pm to 2pm UK time)
Saturday 14th – Elena Lockett (Saturdays, 7pm to 8pm UK time)
Friday 20th – Triptik Empire joins Show:Me
Saturday 21st – Kaleya Baxe (Saturdays, 5pm to 7pm UK time)
Sunday 22nd – DJ James Gilmore (Sundays, 4pm to 6pm UK time)
Friday 27th – Hunter & The Bear joins Show:Me

JAXXMiKE will be presenting a new electronic music show taking over the slot currently occupied by Nick Bounce’s Bouncing Tunes. JAXXMiKE was originally scouted by W!ZARD Radio Station in 2014 due to his unique mix of electro and future house music.

Fashion blogger Elena Lockett joins W!ZARD Radio Station, hosting a new female-focused sleepover style show on Saturday evenings. The show, formatted like a typical girls-only sleepover, will focus on fashion, food, beauty and pop music.

Kaleya Baxe (currently hosts Sundays, 9pm to 10pm) moves over to Saturday nights to host W!ZARD Radio Station’s brand new New Music Show – featuring interviews and guest performances with the best new names in music over a variety of genres. The replacement for her Saturday night show is still to be announced.

March also sees the removal of The Request Show, in favour of a new music-focused show presented by DJ James Gilmore. The new show, broadcasted every Sunday between Benji Hyer and Roman Armstrong, will feature requests, the full album playthroughs James has become renowned for and interviews with musicians.

Show:Me also sees a shake-up as Travis Oaks and Featuring X leave the slot and new bands Triptik Empire and Hunter & The Bear take their place.

Triptik Empire is an Irish Alternative Rock band with the aim of bringing Heavy Rock N’ Roll to Dublin. Supported by the enthusiastic and positive critics they receive after each show, the men will be bringing their unique sounds to W!ZARD Radio Station.

Hunter & The Bear are already a well known name to the Folk-Rock scene. After being booked as the main support for Eric Claptopn’s UK tour in June 2013, they have performed at major music festivals such as T In The Park. Having been ailed as an ‘Unsigned Band to Watch’ by Music Week and BBC Radio 2, the biggest new folk-rock band have come to W!ZARD Radio Station.

By W!ZARD Radio Station’s Fifth Anniversary on the 9th of April 2015, the schedule will look as follows:

More announcements will be made leading up to the 9th of April.
