About Damon Williams

Damon Williams, an actor, rapper, poet, comedian, teacher, public speaker and activist hailing from the south side of Chicago, is the Co-Host and Co-Executive Producer of AirGo.

He is the cofounder of the #LetUsBreathe artistic activist collective, and is the co-chair of the Black Youth Project 100's Chicago chapter. He also a regular contributor for Urban Broadcast Media’s The Damon Williams Show, hosted by his father and veteran standup comedian Damon Williams.

He is a member of hip hop-poetica fusion group April Fools with his sister, the acclaimed poet and playwright Kristiana Colón. The duo has performed at venues throughout the Chicagoland area and was featured on the cover of the Redeye in the summer of 2014 for the reading of their new hip hop stage show “Lack on Lack,” held at Victory Gardens.

About Daniel Kisslinger

Daniel Kisslinger is a Chicago-based producer, working in the worlds of radio, live events, digital, and community building. He is the Cohost and Co-Executive Producer of AirGo.

He serves as the Executive Producer of the Chicago Poetry Block Party, an annual festival engaging community with poetry, as well as for Vs., a podcast presented by the Poetry Foundation hosted by poets Danez Smith and Franny Choi. He is a Vision Core member of the #LetUsBreathe Collective, a grassroots alliance of artists, journalists, and activists harnessing creative capital and cultural production to deconstruct systemic injustice in America and worldwide.

He also produces oral histories for high schools and colleges across the country.

NGHTMRE’s rise to the top has been a dream to say the least. From the day Skrillex played his singe ‘Street’ on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival in 2015, the Tyler Maranevi has gone on to become the darling of Diplo’s Mad Decent label, an international festival superstar, and a resident DJ at Las Vegas’ famed Hakkasan.

His collaborations with the likes of Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion and best friends Derek and Scott of Slander have catapulted him around the world playing Tomorrowland in Belgium and World DJ Fest in Seoul to name a few.

Moving onto Slander - aka Derek and Scott, the two friends who, although they have been perfecting their craft since 2010, their rise has felt like an overnight success story.

Biography

British Self Taught DJ and Remixer, alexNOIZE's ear for music has always been his biggest talent, and this evidently shines through in every mix he makes or playlist he curates.

Originating from a primarily 90-early 2000s Hip Hop/RnB/UKG background, he took his love of those genres to develop his own style of DJing which used them with a mixture of personally chosen House and Future Bounce records- proving to be very popular with crowds in the UK and across the pond in the USA where he now resides.

His ability to mix different eclectic styles together into leaves the listener wishing they had more. That feeling is also a staple in his live sets- no matter the crowd size, he puts their reaction and enjoyment as the most important indicators of him doing his best work.

James Gilmore is the internet’s own boy.

Having founded W!ZARD Radio Media in 2010 – James is the Managing Director of all of it’s products and services including W!ZARD Records (our in-house record label), W!ZARD Studios (our production company), W!ZARD Sales (producing and negotiating advertisements and campaigns), W!ZARD News (news services for social media, websites and radio and exclusive online content), W!ZARD Giving (our charity), W!ZARD Live (our live events promotions and organising brand) and – last but not least – the world famous W!ZARD Radio Station.

DJ James Gilmore has worked with some of the largest brands in the world (including Disney, ITV, BBC, PlayStation and Adidas), is friends with real hot celebrities and has interviewed everybody – including: McFly, Professor Green, Train, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Kaiser Chiefs and more.

He’s also a newly influential name in the media industry – his critical opinion on films is used by major film studios to dictate marketing strategies, record labels constantly shout his way for an endorsement and managers want their stars to be seen eating pizza with him.

Our Sunday Times featured Founder and Managing Director has a hold on everything that happens at W!ZARD Radio Media – you can find a few teasers on his Friday main show.

Having presented countless shows on W!ZARD Radio Station in the past (including the world famous ‘Georgia and James’ with Georgia Jones (the wife of Danny Jones from McFly/McBusted), The Charts Show and the old Request Show), you can now hear him on Friday’s with a mixture of comedy, chat and interviews with some of the worlds biggest stars and on Sunday afternoon’s where he champions music both old and new.

As well as that, he co-hosts our top teen issues show Generation You with bestselling author Chloe Combi and hosts The Fresh List: Global Top 40 (powered by Spotify).

Biography

In The Mix is your opportunity to get to know your favourite YouTubers, musicians, actors, performers, influencers, etc… and what makes them tick.

Music is such an important in everybody’s life – on In The Mix, your favourite influencers pick a playlist of their 15-or-so favourite tracks at the moment and the songs that inspire them and share them with you live on-air.

Each influencer who takes part in the show presents the one hour long show for two weeks in a row, giving them the opportunity to show you all of the different sides of their music playlist.

After each episode, a Spotify playlist is then released with that artists playlist, allowing you to talk to them after the show about the tunes that you both love and it’s also an opportunity for fans to discover new tunes.

As well as the main show on Friday evenings, listen on Sunday night for In The Mix - Extra Mix to hear extra songs, anecdotes and more.

Alex Irons is W!ZARD Radio Station’s very own Rock presenter.

He brings you 2 hours of Rock, Metal and hardcore jams along with some of the newest music in the industry and what’s even better than the music, though, is Alex’s very own experience, passion and knowledge of the industry – which is sure to make the music come alive right through your speakers…

Having started as a radio presenter in 2011 at a community radio station, Alex started by mixing local bands with metal and rock – interviewing bands like Tesseract, Zebrahead, Job For A Cowboy, Bury Tomorrow and a hell of a lot more.

He has now moved to W!ZARD Radio Station where, alongside his weekly show, we’re creating a rock universe – with live concerts, weekly playlists, reviews, interviews and a whole lot more.

East London born and bred, music has always been a part of his life. Whether it was his mother playing Phil Collins, Michael Jackson & Bob Marley growing up or his sisters introducing him into the world of grime and hip-hip with the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Dizzie Rascal and Eminem.

The culmination of different musical tastes had a big part in his development. However two genres which he always found himself going back to were Hip-Hop and R&B.

Biography

Steve Aoki is one of the most renowned DJs in the world.

He is also the founder of Dim Mak Records, which has counted leading indie rock bands such as Gossip, Bloc Party, the Kills, and the Rakes among its stable of signees.

In 2009 his remix work brought rapper Drake's single “Forever” to the dancefloor, while 2010 saw him release the “I'm in the House” single with Zuper Blahq, alter ego of Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am. Further high-profile artists' material was also reworked by Aoki during this period, with tracks by Michael Jackson, the Killers, and Lenny Kravitz all benefiting; while collaborations with like-minded producers such as Armand van Helden and the Bloody Beetroots continued to appear on Dim Mak.

In 2016, he also collaborated with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson for Louis’ first solo release, “Just Hold On”.

Biography

Alec Feldman’s a bit of a tragic case really – we only really gave him a show because we pitied him, above anything else.

Alec showed up two weeks late for his own birth, and things went rapidly downhill from there. As a baby he did a wee in his cousin’s face; as a toddler he somehow (despite being nowhere near the right height) managed to set off the fire alarm in a hotel (although he maintains that he was framed for that one) and his first day of primary school he had a toilet related incident. Despite that minor setback, he still went to be the Head of the School Council in Year 6 (although the democratic legitimacy of that appointment was questionable).

At secondary school, he didn’t say or do much for the first few months, until he entered the school stand-up comedy competition, and much to everyone’s surprise (including his own), won.

When he’s not embarrassing himself in social situations, Alec can be found scrolling through news websites, wondering aimlessly around the local park or watching Suits (because he finds it entertaining and definitely not because he fancies Rachel Zane). He claims to have friends.

Myles McCaulskey is your go to plug for all the forthcoming Hip-Hop/R&B & UK music releases.

When Myles was 10 he saved up his pocket money to but his first ever album “Get Rich or Die Tryin” by 50 Cent. Between this album, listening to the radio from a very young age, and being the music guru in the playground at school, the West London native knew that a career in radio was his calling.

The transition from dream to reality came at University when Myles won “Best Male” and “Best Specialist Music Programming” at the very first University of Southampton “Surge Radio” Awards, in 2014. Accolades which were judged by Radio 1 and Capital South Coast respectively.

Since then, Myles has gone on to interview the likes of Krept & Konan, G-Eazy, Lethal Bizzle, Tinchy Stryder, J Hus & many more.

As a presenter and a producer, Myles realised that learning every aspect of how to work in radio would help to improve the quality of his shows, making a more enjoyable experience for his audience.

Join Myles every Saturday to review the big events of the week in the Hip-Hop/R&B world. Additionally, once a month Myles hosts a debate about the culture and opens it up to the audience for their thoughts and opinions.

Biography

Andi Durrant is one of Europe’s most respected champions of electronic music. He’s the man Daft Punk go to when they want to talk about their new music... the guy Example likes to premier his new tracks with... and the broadcaster who’s interviewed everyone from The Prodigy to Pendulum, Pet Shop Boys to Calvin Harris.

Andi was the youngest ever winner of the Sony Radio Academy Gold award, being named the UK’s Best Music Broadcaster in 2008. Since then he’s gone on to win further Sony’s and last year was nominated for a second time for best specialist music program at the Arqiva Awards – narrowly missing out to Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones.

Biography

Benji Hyer has been presenting his phone-in current affairs show on W!ZARD Radio Station for over four years.

Benji Hyer is by far the most controversial presenter that the Station has ever had and his weekly talk show is based around current affairs and politics.

His weekly show is based upon the greatest contentious political and current affairs debates the news throws at us, be they regarding the EU, elections, or issues from all around the globe.

Benji, a student from University of Birmingham - and formerly studying in Melbourne - has interviewed guests of the highest calibre on a variety of topics – from doctors to professors to members of parliament, including former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore.

The show runs for two hours every Sunday but would be nothing without the listeners – it is always greats to receive call-ins, especially to make the discussions more heated and controversial, so feel free to phone or text in to get involved. As it is said, “this show is about you, me and our opinions”.

Many listeners agree with him. Even more listeners don’t.

Biography

Chloe Combi is a former school teacher who left her job as a teacher when she discovered that she was more interested in the issues young people are dealing with than teaching them traditional subjects.

Widely seen as an expert on Teen Issues, she is a columnist for the Times Educaitonal Supplement and also writes for the Independent, Guardian, Marie Claire, New Statesmen, Daily Mail, Telegraph and many more. She’s also a regular on TV and radio debates – including Channel 4 News, Newsnight, Sky News and Womens Hour.

An article she wrote on pornography and children in 2012 precipitated a major national debate and she has been quoted by David Cameron in the House of Commons. Her work on child poverty, gangland culture and street violence granted her an invite to No. 10 and she is now a consultant on youth issues for the Mayor of London.

In mid-2015 she released her first book ‘Generation Z’ through Penguin Random House (one of the biggest book publishers in the world) where she interviewed hundreds of teenagers and children born between 1994 and 2005. She has talked to some of the richest and poorest kids in the country, young people of all backgrounds and wrote up anecdotes from them about different issues (such as technology, school, family, etc…) on in the book which has since become a bestseller.

Chloe co-hosts W!ZARD Radio Station’s leading teen issues show ‘Generation You’ with James Gilmore where, each week they are joined by guests and experts to confront a different contemporary teen issue.

Biography

Lekhika Chaudhary is a law student in the last year of her degree. Born in India, she moved to London when she was 10 and has now lived half of her life in UK.

Her favourite musicians range from Coldplay and Hozier, to Twenty-One Pilots and Bastille. The music on her show each week is varied and, as those who listen know, very international!

Lekhika loves listening to music from all around the globe- this includes music from India, South Korea and China. She puts her listeners to the test by asking them to identify different songs from around the world in a game that is aptly named 'Around the World'. In fact, the phrase “Lekhika Loves” has even turned into a segment on her show!

There are chats about issues and topics surrounding teens and plenty of messages sent in by listeners. Topics have ranged from travel etiquette to exam stress!

Biography

Roman Armstrong started hosting his hilarious W!ZARD Radio Station show after meeting James Gilmore at a magic club in London. The two got on like a house on fire, and James knew that Roman was born to be on the radio (as he clearly wasn’t good enough at magic).

Over five years later, Roman is still part of the W!ZARD Radio Station team and one of the station’s favourite presenters, either that or he just won’t leave.

Coming from a family of performers, Roman has been part of the entertainment industry since he was eight years old. He has performed magic for thousands of people, is Grade 6 on the A1:H31 and often posts comedy songs and sketches onto his YouTube channel.

Roman has been involved with many of the station’s most exciting projects, having made a challenge series on WR’s YouTube channel, Rath of the Romanator, and the very funny podcast series along with his comedy writing partner Adam Wright, Roman and Adam. For a very long time, he has been writing a short story each week for his show, in a section called Life Lessons With Roman Armstrong. If you missed the show, don’t worry! Each week discussing some weird and wonderful news stories with his surreal sense of humour, Roman’s radio show is jam-packed with entertainment, featuring: great topics, competitions, short stories and a presenter making a fool of himself.

TeenScope is W!ZARD Radio Station’s experimental news and current affairs show – where you vote for your opinion and take part in polls to decide the views of the nation.

The first hour of TeenScope is hosted by two friends with completely opposite political opinions: George Kup and Callum Gurr.

During the second hour, the show takes a more serious turn as young journalists and students take over for an hour focused on politics and the hard-hitting stories of the week.

In both hours, the hosts present 4 topics (each lasting 15 minutes) and debate it live on-air, whilst opening polls allowing you to vote with your opinion.

Biography

George Kup and Callum Gurr are two friends with very different political opinions. They co-host TeenScope (with Kup & Gurr) on Sunday evenings, exclusively on W!ZARD Radio Station.

Although they mostly never agree with each other, they’re still best friends!

About George Kup

A proud Brexitier and not afraid to bring the right winged view into any debate. George Kup is studying policing at University, but his passion is debate.

An ex-member of UKIP, he left the party when Nigel Farage stepped down as leader and joined the Conservative Party. After the election he was amazed to see how his generation had influenced the vote, but felt that they had been fooled into following ‘promises’ that would never happen. He then decided to join W!ZARD Radio Station in order to further push the scrutiny of the government and make sure that no argument is left unturned.

About Callum Gurr

Born and raised in Thanet, Callum Gurr is a proud member of the Liberal Democrats and a believer that the UK should remain in the EU.

Coming from Thanet, Callum is used to engaging in dialogue with opinions that are vastly different to his own and it is this experience that shapes Callum’s vision for TeenScope.

Rather than being solely about shouting and raised voices, as many politics and current affairs shows can often be, Callum encourages calm and tolerant debate, with a focus on consensus with his Conservative rank and file co-presenter George Kup, as opposed to conflict.

While only in his early twenties, Dutchman Sam Feldt has become quite the deep house tastemaker of his day.

With amazing remix work as well as solid hits like the early 2015 release ‘Show Me Love’, which proved to be his definite claim to fame, Sam Feldt is one of the DJs to watch when it comes to a new sound flooding the scene.

Sam Feldt is definitely not a stranger to the house music scene. After working behind the scenes as a producer for a long time, perfecting his musical talents, he decided to show the world his talents and uploaded his first track in Summer 2013. Within a year he had signed with Spinnin’ Records.

Now a household name in the deep house scene, you can catch Sam Feldt on W!ZARD Radio Station every Saturday night.
